No More Snow..No More Snow

For the love of all things good and right. NO MORE SNOW. It's been beautiful, fun for the kids to play in. Tons of memories....but 8 - 10 inches of snow in Alabama makes everything close down! For days we have enjoyed the white stuff. It's been insane wonderful. When will it go away??? There are sheets of ice on side roads, parking lots, and schools have been out for days. An owl flew into power lines and we lost power for a short while. That was exciting. Let me tell you. Middle of the night searching for the flashlights, kids yelling in their rooms. Everyone piled together in our bed. Think we are going to need a bigger bed for more children. Do they make a bed that spans the entire length of a wall??

People, this is serious. I don't have enough chocolate in the house.

Maybe we should have taken it more serious when people were lining up at the store stocking up on bread and milk. Maybe I should have bought a secret stash of Snickers. Maybe I am losing my mind. We had so many things to get done for our home study this week.

I think this God saying "your plans?" HA!

Is this a tractor clearing our roads?? Is this normal? You don't have to answer that. Praying for rain.

Oh my! I feel you! We only got about 4 inches, but good grief schools are still shut down. When I went to get fingerprints today, it was so dead I thought for sure they were closed. I was so bummed, but was shocked that someone was actually there!! I will pray for you to have peace right now...I know it is hard when you have such a list of to dos!!! I keep trying to tell myself that maybe the delays will hold off our paperwork so that everything arrives in EE EXACTLY when it is supposed to and lands into just the right hands:) And btw...Emily was being baptized! It was precious and humbling. I am so proud to be her mommy!

Oh man... lesson learned then, I hope. ALWAYS have an emergency supply of snickers on hand!

In a crisis situation they're both comforting AND can be a valuable bartering item.

If I could make it over that mountain you live on...I would so bring you some chocolate. If it gets bad enough...you can always WALK to Walmart. Or maybe that tractor that was cleaning your street will give you a lift!

Snow in Alabama...gotta love it. We fortunately seemed to miss most of it. Got a little ice. But everything north of us was shut down.

whatever you do, don't go on a diet when you are adopting. Trust me, every one is your family will run in the other direction when you walk into the room. Not that I know this from experience or anything....

Love,
Renee who is adopting and dieting

You guys are funny. We get 4" in Minnesota they don't even plow and people still drive 65. Lol. We have over 4ft of snow and we got 11" a few Fridays ago and school was on time and not let out early. We live out in the county's and are lucky if our road gets plowed, so the bus came down our road pushing snow!

Hope you got out! BTW Guitard milk chocolate chips are like tiny Hershey's kisses and are easy to hide from kids in the baking cupboard. Lol

Becky...LOL! Our kids were out for a solid WEEK. We live less than two miles from the school. Was thinking we could just pull them down there on a boogey board....!
